Dawn of Beasts
Frequently asked questions
Everything about the private alpha, the roster, and how Dawn of Beasts plays.
What is Dawn of Beasts?
Dawn of Beasts is a stylized, immersive multiplayer dinosaur survival game by AlienTech Game Studio. You play as the dinosaurs, grow from young to apex, hunt, raise a pack, and survive a storm-lit prehistoric world against other players.
What platform is it on?
PC (Windows). The stylized art direction is also a performance choice, so it's built to run well on lower-end machines.
How do I get into the alpha, and how much is it?
The private alpha runs on a founder key for $25. Only 2,500 keys are offered. There's no NDA, you can stream and share freely. Each account gets one key.
When did the alpha open?
The private alpha opened on November 1, 2026. When the last of the 2,500 keys is gone, sales close while the team keeps building with alpha players.
How many dinosaurs are there, and which are playable?
The full roster is 20 species. Ten are playable in the alpha: Tyrannosaurus, Allosaurus, Carnotaurus, Suchomimus, Cryolophosaurus, Deinonychus, Coelophysis, Gallimimus, Anzu, and Sinosauropteryx.
How many players are on a server?
Up to 300 players per server, built for that scale from day one. When a server isn't full, wild dinosaurs take the spare places.
How big is the world?
An 8 by 8 km map across eight biomes: redwoods, desert, badlands, mangrove swamp, mountains, a volcano, and reefs.
Is there a pack system?
Yes. Call to your own species and up to four will join you, rally them, send them to hunt, have them guard or roam. Adults watch over a young leader, and the young keep close to an adult.
How does survival work, is there a map or markers?
No map, no compass, no markers. You listen for footsteps, follow scent on the wind by standing downwind, and track the blood of prey that got away.
Does buying a key support charity?
Yes, five percent of all profit goes to Make-A-Wish.
Can I stream or make videos of the alpha?
Yes. There's no NDA, so you're free to stream, record, and share Dawn of Beasts however you like.
